Up for sale is a vintage 1966 Camillus pocket utility knife. These knives were standard Military issue for the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Measures 3 3/4" long closed, not including the lanyard ring. Overall in good vintage condition, blades do have some wear from use, all blades open and close with ease and are still sharp doesn't look like it's been resharpened a lot. History: The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States. The Company, which has its roots dating back to 1876, produced millions of knives until it filed for bankruptcy in 2007 due to fierce overseas competition. Its brand name and intelluctual property rights were purchased by Acme United Corporation, which re-launched Camillus in May 2009. More new products were introduced to the market, and in 1947, Camillus began to manufacture a full line of official folding knives for the Boy Scouts of America. During the Vietnam War, Camillus again manufactured a large number of knives for the armed forces, for instance a pilot survival knife, a USMC combat knife and a four bladed utility knife. After the Vietnam War, the company continued its growth by adding more new pieces to their already wide product range.
