Vtg 40s 50s Royal Stetson Fur Felt Fedora Hat Cocoa Brown 7 1/8 Long Oval Product DescriptionVintage Royal Stetson fur felt fedora hat appearing to date from the 1940\'s or 50\'s. Size is 7 1/8 in the long oval shape (See measurements below). Color is a light cocoa brown. Hat has a nice, wide brim trimmed in grosgrain and a sporty profile with the crown higher in the front than the back. Holding its blocking well. Matching grosgrain ribbon is 3/4\". Original Stetson satin lining. This hat was sold at Rothschild\'s/Young-Quinlan in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A serviceable hat in good condition. No holes or abrasions to fur felt. The felt is the same color under the ribbon, so it doesn\'t appear to have faded. There is some staining to note: Two small marks visible in photo 3 (above bow and on edge of crown) and two light stains on the left underside of brim. One very shallow moth nibble near these. Other than that there is no moth damage. Satin lining has sweat stains in the front as seen. Sweatband is flexible, with no brittleness or cracking. Good stitching all around. There is a wear on the bottom edge of sweatband as photos show. Hat is pretty good as is, but it would look very sharp after a professional cleaning.
