VTG Leica D.R.P camera Leitz lens camera & case misc:
$261.60

German company, Leica, made this handsome Vintage rangefinder camera. The company was founded by Ernst Leitz in 1914. This particular Leica IIIa D.R.P. camera was made in 1938, according to its serial no. 275214. The top of the camera reads, \"Leica D.R.P, Ernst Leitz Wetzlar, Germany\", along with the serial number. The lens reads, \"Ernst Leitz Wetzlar; Summar f=5cm 1:2 No. 418511\". This camera has not been film-tested. All of the gizmos and knobs turn freely. The bottom opens/closes with a little bit of work. I couldn\'t get the bottom to close perfectly straight. The black bar on the bottom is for mounting onto a tripod. It must come off with a screwdriver. The camera does not sit upright very well with it on. Also included with the camera is the vintage original Leica leather case, a filter, camera accessory marked \"E. Leitz New York\", measuring tape (inches/cm), and flash cord/button. There is some vintage patina and vintage wear to the camera, parts and leather case, with fine scratches, paint missing and small dings, etc. Please see photos for condition and below for detailed measurements.

Wt: approx. 5 lbs.

Camera Bag Size : 11 x 7 x 7 inches

Camera Size : 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches

Condition: good vintage condition with vintage patina & wear to camera & accessories; has not been film tested; fine scratches, paint missing, small dings to body, etc.

Inv # 4162

On Aug-17-18 at 14:23:24 PDT, seller added the following information:

This just in :the black bar at the bottom of the camera is actually a flash sync accessory provided by Leica NY in the late 1930s. It also does have the thread mount for tripod mounting. The possible reason the bottom plate does not seem to fit correctly onto the camera is that there is an alignment required between the pin on the bottom plate to the slot on the small silver wheel in the camera bottom. Thank you
