Offered here is a Brunton Pocket Transit, manufactured by Wm. Ainsworth & Sons, Denver, Colorado. Includes leather case. Serial No. 32870 which places its manufacture date in the late 1920\'s, early 1930\'s. Brunton worked with Ainsworth to develop this handy tool for mining and surveying in 1895. The Brunton Compass is manufactured today by Fiskars Outdoor AB in Riverton, Wyoming. Tough to find the earlier serial numbers in this great instrument. Thanks for looking!
