This is a vintage brass surveying compass made by W L E Gurley in the USA. It is previously owned nad kept in great condition. It looks like all accessories are there in their place in a wooden box also by W.L.E. Gurley. The needle on the compass moves, but the compass may need an overall cleaning. The wooden box also shows some wear, nothing major. It looks like someone had place some masking tape on the front of the box that has made it super difficult to remove.
