Up for sale is this beautiful near-mint condition West Virginia CW veterans Class I \"Honorably Discharged\" medal in it\'s original box, inscribed to Michael Guilinger, 1st WV Light Artillery, Battery C. There are no issues with this beautiful example, as the pictures indicate- medal and box are in great condition considering their age. Here is a quick service record for Guilinger. GUILINGER, MICHAEL, Battery \"C\", 1st Regiment W. Va. Light Artillery. Enlisted as a private for three years on January 20, 1864, by Lt. Bull, in Marietta, OH. He was 18 years and one month of age, 5’7 , with dark/black complexion, and black eyes and hair- born in Washington County, PA with occupation of laborer. Reported at Brandy Station, VA Feb. 10, 1864, “to Capt. Hill for duty.” For March/April 1864 roll listed as “temporarily assigned to Batt. G of Penn. Lt. Artillery by order of HQ Camp Berry, Wash. DC.” Mustered out as private in Wheeling, WV, June 28, 1865.
