Yaki-mono made in Seto is called Seto-yaki, which is the most produced yaki-mono in Japan.
You may have heard of Shafford, the company once based in Seto, has exported a large amount of dog figurines in the mid-1900s.Shafford now no longer exists as well as other manufacturers who had produced various porcelain figurines here in Seto. However, some of the product molds used to make those figurines have been passed down and several kinds of dog breeds are still being made using those precious legacies. It is in a small workshop run by a husband and wife team. One of those figurines is this Scottie figurine.
