WONDERFUL OLD 8\" Stag Handled German Bowie Knife & Orig. Sheath 12-1/4\" Overall For Sale

is a Wonderful Old Bowie Knife in used but EXCELLENT condition. As far as I can tell, it is unmarked. It does show sharpening marks but nothing that should have worn off or removed any maker info? The sheath is a perfect fit and obviously original to the knife. It is marked \"Made in Germany\". Knife blade is 7-15/16 inches long. Overall knife is 12-1/4 inches long. Knife weighs 15 ounces by itself and 1 pound 1.4 ounces in the sheath. Spine and tang are a full 1/4\" thick accounting for the 15 oz heft! Edge is clean with no nicks. Overall blade finish is quite nice with no rust or pitting. Shows sharpening marks on both sides. Double Pointed guard looks like nickel silver. Stag scales on a full tang show wonderful original patina. They are affixed with 4 pins. One side has a crack from lower front pin to guard (see photo). One side has a silver bar style medallion and the other side does not. Sheath is in nice shape. Keeper strap and snap are in good working shape. Will fit a belt up to 3 inches wide. No previous owners name or ID info scratched or engraved anywhere. Just a good ole CLEAN knife that will make a handsome addition to any collection. I\'ve no idea of the maker but maybe some of you knife Connoisseurs will recognize it? It is obviously a quality piece and I am proud to offer it here in a sale!
