A lovely example of a jacket part of the 1939 Air Ministry contract, produced by Irvin Airchute. The fleece is in good shape, the collar, cuffs and bottom hem have all been re-trimmed. The leather is very supple with no damage or areas of undue wear. There were three small tears in the arms, all of which have been repaired. All original brass DOT zips are in situ and work very well indeed, with neither stiffness nor missing teeth.
The hanging chain is present, along with the belt and original collar strap.
All in all, the jacket is in very good shape and quite suitable for regular wear. There are other jackets available at: www.wwiijackets.co.uk
