M1903 Springfield Rifle Stock

Original WW1-era stock for M1903 Springfield rifle, walnut construction with finger grooves, stock is a post war rebuild as indicated by the two reinforcing screws in receiver area and San Antonio Arsenal rebuild stamp over original Springfield cursive cartouche. No hand guard and no metal parts except for the reinforcing screws and rear floor plate bushing. Stock is darkfrom years of use and has the usual nicks and dings from service, there is also a small piece of wood missingto edge aboverear of right side finger groove, otherwise undamaged. Still a nice stock which will clean up better, great for restoring a sporterized Springfield or for reenacting/living history useand is ingood condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
