I ended and am re-listing this as I was missing some important paperwork that went with it and much to my relief I found it:) There is now included a photo of Mothersill in the uniform and some basic enlistment papers. The photo in uniform obviously being the important piece. WW2 1st Special Service Force Tunic and Visor Cap. Named to D Mothersill. They were immortalized for their feats during WW2 and in the movie the Devils Brigade. The best of the best, truly elite soldiers. At one point they fought for 99 days without relief. This joint force of American and Canadian Soldiers frankly scared even the most hardened German soldiers. When the German troops surrendered to the FSSF they were always surprised by how few men they were actually fighting. Watch the movie. While there is artistic license taken it gives you an idea of how dominant they were.
The Tunic and Visor cap are both in excellent condition with only 1 small hole on the tunic collar. They are well marked and completely untouched. This would easily be the most important piece in any but the multi million dollar collections. From the same amazing collection.
