Very good condition and guaranteed original WWI Austrianmilitary Model 1917 fighting knife. Maker marked “R” on the left side of theblade ricasso and has a tiny Austrian eagle proof mark under the guard. 8 1/8”blade has original bright finish with some brown and gray. Guard has brown andgray metal finish. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit, nodamage. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that retains much of thebeautiful original apple green paint, with some normal wear and flaking. Nodents. The belt loop is absent, which is common. A nice WWI Austrian fightingknife that will make a fine addition to your collection.
