Excellent condition and guaranteed original WWII German 98kMauser bayonet that is complete with matching numbered scabbard. Bayonet ismarked “44sgx” on the left side blade ricasso for production by E.u.F. Horsterin 1944. Blade has excellent original gray phosphate metal finish and was neversharpened. Remaining metal finish is original gray phosphate with a littleturning brown. Riveted bakelite grips have a good tight fit and no damage. Lockbutton functions fine. Matching numbered steel scabbard is also marked “44sgx”and has excellent original gray phosphate metal finish and no dents. A rare “sgx”code 98k bayonet with matching numbered and riveted grips that will make anexcellent advanced addition to a collection.
