Very good condition and guaranteed 100% original WWII PolishWZ 28 Mauser bayonet that has clear Radom arsenal markings on the blade anddated 1939 with the Polish eagle proof. Bayonet was captured and reissued byinvading German forces during WWII and has a Waffen eagle 77 proof on the bladespine. Blade retains most of the original blue metal finish and has beensharpened near the tip. Remaining metal finish is mostly brown. Wood grips haveoriginal finish and a good tight fit with a few normal handling marks, lockbutton functions fine. Fitted in correct original Polish steel scabbard thatretains some of the original apple green paint near the throat. Scabbard hasotherwise brown patina and no dents. Bayonet also comes with an original WWIIGerman leather frog that is soft and supple with some normal wear. Stitchingand rivets are nice and tight. Frog is complete with handle straps and has novisible markings. A very hard to find German marked Polish Mauser bayonet that willmake an excellent addition to your collection.
