Shown here is a large and rather hard to find 12.25" longtin battery operated 1958 Ford Fairlane 2 door hard top made by Yonezawa ( Yone or Y ) of Japan in the1950s. Finished as a Highway Patrol car, the toy is very clean, and in fair original condition. I think this is one of the best looking tin squad cars made. You don\'t see very many toy \'58 Fords, and the styling on this on is right on.The blackand whitepaint has a great luster but does have some play wear showing a few dings, scrapes and scuffs. Trim is all bright with typical age tarnish showing in spots. Fragile tin siren is still intact but radio antenna is missing.Blue tinted plastic window "glass" is still clear and void of any cracks, breaks or shrinkage. It is still held firmly in place. Colorful tin litho interioris a delight to see, and included is a separate largemetal steering wheel. Glossy black base is very clean but shows some wear. All tin connecting tabs are in place.Rubber tires including small drive table wheels are all flawless with no cracks or flat spots. Attractive tri tone tin hubcaps and whitewalls look fantastic.The roof mounted "gum ball" emergency light emits a brilliant glow but bump n go action does not work. It may be just a loose wire but I don\'t want to open the car up and will leave any repair to new owner. The car displays beautifully as is.This hard to findlarge scale tinplate toy car is made even better with a low, low starting offer and .........as always.
