Description Up for sale I have this antique 1938, ZENITH model 15-U-246 Long Distance shortwave, 15 tube radio, known to Zenith collector\'s as \"The Commander\".This unit was plugged-in and it powered-up with no problems. I listened to a local radio station without connecting an antenna. This unit was designed to rest with the open back on the ground and the radio front facing upwards, towards the ceiling.The unit case is in great condition and both doors open and close smoothly. The TOP center radio knob was removed and placed into a bubble envelope for safe shipping. Please look closely at all the 24 photographs provided.This unit has been stored inside a wood crate, in a climate controlled environment since 2001. The original factory paper serial number tag is still affixed to the cabinet as seen in the photograph.Brand: Zenith
