1839 Science Engineering Broadside Congress Steam Engine Boiler Explosions Plans For Sale

A five page booklet with fold out plans on preventing steam-boilers from exploding. It was written as a memorial to the inventor, Cadwallader Evans who was the son of Oliver Evans who invented many engineering technologies related to steam engines.

This very rare pamphlet (only one other available in Library of Congress) is in good condition. There is some light pencilled writing on the front and some yellowing of age. The front page has separated (see photos) and there is a slight tear on the fold-out plans.
