Van made these in either 1952 or 1953, that's when he worked as a freelance commercial artist in Hollywood. He seemed to be Dudley's go-to for custom hand-lettering. I'mnot familiar with his entire process, but I know it started with drawing each letter of the alphabet by hand with a pen making only tiny/straight/tangential lines, hundreds of them, until eventually the hard angles turned into smooth curves. Photolithography would've converted the drawings into metal printing plates which were then inked and pressed into very expensive sheets of paper, probably handmade watercolor paper (which can run $25/sheet). Btw there are 6 sheets in total - 4 printed ones and 2 blank ones (which serve as protective covers).
I wish I could tell you more about the actual production/movie, but I have no idea. The only googlable data on these cards is thename Art Moore - apparently he was an animator at Disney at some point and worked on some of the big name movies.
