1965 Mattel BABY FIRST STEP Flasher Advertising Pinback Button - Like Vari-Vue. This is an advertising flasher/flicker pinback produced by Dimensional Research in Burlingame, California to promote Mattel\'s BABY FIRST STEP doll. Vari-Vue was the most well known producer of lenticular technology and licensed their process to other manufacturers such as Dimensional Designs and Cine-Vue for a wide variety of advertising, political and novelty / toy items. This pinback is in very nice, clean condition and exhibits only slight paint loss, mostly on the back outer edge of the button.
