Early Rare Goebel Hummel Mel #116 #117 Girl Boy Candleholder Figurines TMK1

This is a superb set of very old Hummel\'s.
Super-early boy holder has GERMANY marked on the bottom of toy horse. Other later examples do not have this.
Super-early girl has an unusually thin base, possibly making this some kind of a prototype.
Clearly marked Mel on back of base on each figurine.
Calling these \"TMK1\" when \"TMK none\" might be better as many of these were salesman samples.
Faces are completely different from later examples (IE. eyes and mouth).
Pieces have light cosmetic wear (some light crackling & debris mostly). Girl has tiny chip on base.
Very early samples have hand written item numbers in pencil!!!!
