4 Children & Pretty Lady New Year Antique Postcards, EMB, UND Backs, 1906-07 era

This is a nice selection of NEW YEAR postcards that are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s.This mixture is colorful and has the classic New Year motifs such as: SNOWY HOME & RURAL SCENES, FLOWERS, FRIENDSHIP MESSAGES, etc. The postcards are nicely drawn, and they have good detail that makes them pleasing to look at.

The postcards show children as well as a pretty lady. These are written in French and German, as well as in English. One is a photo style, and the others are drawn. They are both EMBOSSED andflat printed postcards. They were madeby different publishers.

These are good postcards to add to a collection. They wouldappeal to collectors because of their age, their colorful and attractive nature, and the way they capture life back in the early 1900s. Overall, a niceselection of antique New Year postcards at a reasonable price.

The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (3) with cancel dates of 1906-07. These postcards would have been "Printed in Germany" and in France at the beginning of the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). They have UNDIVIDED backs.

Postcards with UNDIVIDED BACKS were used from 1901-1907.An undivided back is a good indicator of the age of the postcard and its historical significance.During this time period, ONLY THE ADDRESS could be put on the back, and any written message had to be done on the front of the postcard.These type of postcards are collector items because of their age, and because of the limited number of such postcards in existence today.Also, collectors like to own postcards that were published in the beginning years of the postcard hobby.

These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value!
