It is a heavy cast iron piece is clearly marked:
"SMITH & HEMENWAY CO. INC"JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK USA"
on one side and on the other:
"ECLIPSE TRADE MARK NO 13"
When extended, it measures 23" long and when compacted 18"
Weights 4.9 lbs
