Akhenaten and his family painting-make offering the sun god Atun-Tell el-Amarna-artistic mural-Replica-Handmade-Egyptian antiques

The painting of Akhenaten and his family is the name of an altar image in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo depicting the pharaoh Akhenaten and his queen Nefertiti and their three childrenThe painting can be hung on the wall, as it has a hook for hanging. It can also be placed on a stand on a shelf. It is a piece of art. A replica. On the left side, Akhenaten sits on a chair, handing a jewel to his eldest daughter Meritaten, who stands in front of him. Nefertiti sits in front of him, to her right, playing with two of their daughters on her lap. These are Meketaten and Ankhesenpaaten. At the top, in the middle of the panel, is the disk of the Aten, whose rays end in hands bearing the symbol of life (ankh) and thus depicted as saving life. In the background are various inscriptions with the names and titles of the people depicted. The panel is bordered on three sides by a set of other hieroglyphs, overlaid with blue paint, which are still partly extant. At the base of the painting there are small holes on either side indicating that the painting was fitted with wings on each side. The so-called "dogmatic name" of Aten used here is still in its first form. The painting dates back to the end of the first half of Akhenaten's reign, in addition to depicting girls and stylistic features typical of the Amarna period. [1] These paintings are typical of the Amarna period in ancient Egypt and are found particularly in the tombs of Tell el-Amarna, which was the capital of Egypt during the reign of Akhenaten, under the name of Akhetaton. These paintings were altars that were placed in private chapels or homes for the worship of the royal family and the sun god Aten
