• paper is a pale blue/gray color measuring approximately 7 1/8\" x 4 3/8, folded
• raised embossed letterhead at the top reads \"St. Albans Clergy House, Brooke Street, Holborn, G.B.? (last letter is in fancy script, unknown if it is a B\"
• letter is written in ink, dated March 2, 1868 and appears to say something to the effect of: \"My Dear Madam, I shall be very glad to subscribe 2/6 a year to the Association. We manufacture our own surplus too. I fear that we have no chance of being ---- toics our Annual ......, Yours very truly, in our Bl. LORD, Alexander Mackononchie.\"

There is very interesting history about Alexander Mackononchie who was the first perpetual curate of St. Albans Church beginnning in 1862. He became a controversial figure and was presecuted for some of his practices. He played a role in the broader Anglo-Catholic movement.
The paper has several small tears, creases and folds and is in vintage condition, as seen in photos.
