This is an antique jacquard woven coverlet/spread. Dated 1849 with owner\'s name - Winsor. No location indicated, believe it originated from central/southern New York State. Measures approximately 96\" x 80\". Has a center seam and is reversible. One side is predominantly dark indigo shade of blue, other is off white with blue designs. Unknown fabric, perhaps wool.
There is a mend to the corner the date and name. I saw at least 2 wear spots. Center seam is slightly open in spots. There are 4-5 light brown spots on the light side. Most of the damage noted is apparent on the \"light\" color side. Top end is finished will a rolled hand stitched edge (last picture). Stored for many years, probably very dusty. Sold \"as is\".
Very heavy, will require a large box for shipping.
