Delightful case! Elegant sterling silver folding spectacles - still together after 2 centuries. The case is gold enameled work of art on black papier mache, Orientalist figures. Hinged end opens to the silk velvet lined interior and the excellent set of spectacles within. I\'ve had this set for decades. SO much to work through at our warehouse. The frame is finely crafted sterling silver, hinged at the ear pieces so you can fold downward to keep glasses on while head is down as in reading, or bookwork. I am unsure of the magnification of the lenses, but it isn\'t too much. Measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. The case is superb. The spectacles are, as well. Considering 200 years and more in age, I see nothing to report.

Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is received (except when special circumstances exist). We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built. Wood crate charge, when applicable, is a flat $35.00 in addition to actual postage & insurance charges.
