Benny Motzfeldt glass bird figurine. Norway 1970\'s.In 1963, Benny Motzfeldt drew a small bird in crystal glass which was made in collaboration with the glassblower Olav Stensvold. The management at Christiania Glasmagasin was not happy with the result and did not want to continue with it. Fortunately, the then American president Lyndon B. Johnsen bought several Icebirds for his wife Lady Bird during a visit to Norway. The interest, of course, was enormous.
