Perigord Billes Prestige slipjoint folding knife. Made by Coutellerie de Perigord inSaint-Estèphe, France, in the heart of that country's knife-making region, Gironde. The single blade is of Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel; the walnut scales are held in place without screws, using 4 neodymium magnets inset into the scales. The blade floats on 2 ball bearings under spring compression, locks in place when folded into the handle, and is released by a small lever at one end. Although by no means what one would call a tactical knife, it's a lovely design that will beautifully complement your cheese board.
