AVAILABLE FOR SALE IS A NAGRA PS-1 VINTAGE JBR PLAYBACK SYSTEM - READ. THIS PRODUCT IS USED. THE PRODUCT WAS POWER TESTED. WE DO NOT HAVE TAPE TO TEST THE FULL FUNCTIONALITY OF THE ITEM. BUTTONS AND KNOBS ALL APPEAR TO BE IN WORKING ORDER.

WE ARE NOT AUDIO EXPERTS AND SOME FUNCTIONALITY MAY NOT BE CALIBRATED/RESPONDING TO OPTIMAL LEVELS. MACHINE PERFORMED ALL TASKS DURING OUR TESTING WHICH INCLUDED TESTING ALL BUTTONS, SCREEN WAS CLEAR AND FUNCTIONAL, AND UNIT DID NOT SHOW ANY SIGNS OF DISTRESS WHILE BEING UTILIZED. • The NAGRA PS-1 is a highly sophisticated playback system designed in 1984 to read JBR\'s special miniature cassettes recorded on the stereo spy Nagra JBR recorder.

  JBR recorder has no playback  system and one adaptor for NAGRA SN spy recorder was used between 1984 and 1986. Nagra JBR and PS-1 were exclusively produced for USA security agencies but  some Canadian and British securities agencies  have access to the recorder and playback system.

  PS-1 corrects speed fluctuations, expands the signal compressed when recording, and offers fast forward and rewind functions for the easy location of a particular recording.

  Separate adjustable filters allow fine tuning of each audio channel to fit curves displayed on the machine itself. The PS-1 is also provided with an adjustable expansion ratio, with a real time counter, with automatic counter reset, go to functions, etc.

  Frequency response: 170 Hz to 4700 Hz. In the JBR tapes a signal with the frequency  of 5461 Hz is recorded for speed correction purposes and the audio bandwidth is limited to 4.7 kHz.

  In PS-1 a  numerical keyboard for sophisticated commands is located under a small cover, in order to avoid unintentional use. The output signal is fed either to headphones, built-in loudspeakers or line.

  The PS-1 operates either on internal batteries, external 12 V DC or 220/110 V AC.

Do not attempt your own repair on a product purchased without our authorization. The warranty will be void and return will not be authorized.

Before initiating a return:

Please contact us via email or phone as our technicians are often able to assist with troubleshooting resulting in no return. If we are unable to resolve the issue, we will provide return instructions.

Return requirements:

All returns must include all original items and be in the same condition as they were we received. Once the return is authorized, we will provide a return id which should be visibly placed on the outside of the package.

Return fees:

Buyers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

Returns excluded or not authorized:

Returns for compatibility, fit, technical specifications, buyer remorse, or accidental purchase will not be authorized.

Void tamper stickers are placed on many of our items to maintain product integrity and ensure original condition. Any product returned with the void tamper sticker damaged or removed will not be eligible for refund.

All products being returned will incur a restocking fee of 20% up to 50% depending on the item, the reason for the return, and the damage or lost revenue caused by the buyer.
