The mines of this company included the Eureka, Eureka #2, Copper Queen, Copper Crown, Copper Prince, Gertrude and Crown Prince. Located on the west side the Nacimiento Mountains, west of Santa Fe county. The Eureka mine, which was more developed than the other mines, showed an ore body of copper ore 26\' thick, which averaged 25% copper. The ore minerals are tetrahedirite and chalcocite, with silver. (Ref: Burchard, 1882, p340.) Bernalillo County is the most populous county in the U.S. state of New Mexico. As of the 2020 census, the population was 676,444. The county seat, Albuquerque, is the most populous city in New Mexico. Bernalillo County is the central county of the Albuquerque, NM Metropolitan Statistical Area.
