This is quite old in the original wood case marked inside Ernst Leitz Wetzlar New York. The blade inside is not marked anywhere, and measures from end to the point 10 7/8\" and is 1 3/4\" wide. This fits perfectly into the slots in the box so I am quite sure it is Ernst Leitz Wetzlar. The blade I think is stainless, and is quite sharp, and would only need an expert to properly polish.
