Rare Sparton Tube Radio 5518 For Sale

You are purchasing a rare Sparton 5518 mid-century tube radio. The art deco design is attributed to Walter Darwin Teague. The caseused a unique graining process to chemically transfer a wood grain effect to the metal cabinet. The radio has unique design chromeaccents and cloisonne dial. The radio appears to be complete and all original except a newer power cord. The photo show a rub markon the top of the set. I have not attempted to refinish but a skilled craftsperson could possibly match the olive green grain finish. I havealso seen a photo of this radio in chrome which is very striking. I have displayed this radio on an upper shelf. The radio is sold as untested and non-working. Please review the photos attached to this listing. The right hand selector button has a small chip on the edge. The radio is heaving and shipping costs reflect both size and weight for packing.
