Vintage 'Heileman's Old Style Lager'Bar Decor"Grenadier" Statue, Tray, 8" Tall
This beauty is a statue of Heilemans logo/mascot, their three musketeers look alike they call the 'Grenadier', that's been part of their advertising for decades. A nod to the German origins of the family, I suppose. Also Wisconsin saw a lot of German immigrants and that's where Heileman is located. Its' all metal with a green patina finish sprayed on. He's remarkably detailed, as you can see from the pictures. I don't know the age of it, but I'd suggest some time in the 50's to the 70's. This is a 'hard to find' item and so is any information on it. I saw one statue for sale that had been removed from the tray.I don't think this was meant to be an ashtray, though it would work as one. Maybe for matches, anything small you'd want on your bar for the customers.
