Born in 1807 George J. Scott married Augusta Francis the sixth daughter of William Wynne High Sheriff ofMerionethshire. George Scott died in 1875. The bottlemeasures 28cm high by 8.5cm in diameter across the base edge and is in NEAR MINT CONDITION being clean with full original gloss sheen to the glass surface, having no cracks or hairlines. There is however some residue left inside which is mainly to the sides and some patches at the rear, as the glass is near black it cannot be seen until held up to the light, it may clean out if the purchaser requires.A superb pictorial sealed early wine bottle in near mint condition. Instead of c1780 it should read c1830\'s as is actually stated in the main description of the bottle, I am very sorry about this and I hope it will not deter anyone from offerding on what is a superb early researched sealed bottle.
