Hammond Multiplex Typewriter, ca.1915. Serial numbered 236281G2.
Cosmetically, this example is in good condition. More than anything it needs to be dusted and polished. It still has its ribbon spools, paper support typebar cover and shuttle (some of these are often missing). Only the rubber feet are gone.
Functionally, the typewheel reacts well as does the escapement. The carriage advances sluggishly so it will need a tuning and lubrication. The feed rollers are quite rough.
An original wood base is included but I have no top.
