This artifact being offered for auction is a rare 1864 (Civil War) bank check/deposit slip with an Internal Revenue 5 cent 'Certificate' stamp attached with a clear cancellation. The catalog number of the attached stamp is unknown. This artifact measures approx 3-1/4" X 7-7/8" and is classified as being in good condition, less than fine.
