Wonderful original antique photograph depicting a woman seated and reading inside an elegant, richly decorated interior.
The room features an ornate chandelier, decorative ceiling molding, paneled door, draperies, period furniture, rugs, and a large floral arrangement.
The reverse has a faint handwritten inscription that appears to identify the photograph as having been taken at “The Spencer Brown’s” in Paris in 1924. Please see photos and use your own judgment regarding the handwriting.
A particularly appealing early 20th century photograph with both architectural/interior interest and handwritten provenance.
Condition:
As found antique condition. Photograph and mount show age-related wear, including surface wear, toning, edge/corner wear, and a crease/bend to the lower right portion of the mount as pictured. Handwriting on the reverse is faint but partially legible. No overwhelming/foul odors noted. Please review all photos closely for condition.
