The photograph shows the club's distinctive Art Deco facade with tall decorative windows, columns, arched entrances and outdoor cafe seating. The words "AMERICAN RED CROSS" are visible above the entrance.
During 1945 the American Red Cross operated the Casino Club as a major recreation facility for American servicemen visiting the French Riviera for rest and recreation following combat in Europe.
The building was the celebrated Palais de la Méditerranée on Nice's Promenade des Anglais.
