RARE ANTIQUE 1856 EARLY CDV PHOTO

This original CDV is dated to 1856 on the back.That is only 2 years after the development of the photo process patent. The photo was taken in a Paris studio on Rue di Rivoli showing a young man identified on the reverse. I simply do not see many early examples this early coming to the secondary market! The carte de visite French: visiting.card abbreviated CdV, was a type of small photograph which was patented in Paris by photographer Andre Adolphe Eugene Disderi in 1854.
