When this Limited Edition of 300 Retro 51 APRIL FOOLS Rollerball / Pen was introduced on April 1, 2026, it was done with the following mysterious description and no images other than the plain black tube:
“This is a new, limited edition pen.
I can't tell you much about it, because it's a surprise. Don't ruin the surprise.
Trust me; this pen will not look like any other Retro 51 pen in your collection.
When we had the Zoom meeting with the folks at Retro 51, everyone was in uproarious laughter while discussing the idea for this pen. And now, you have the opportunity to be in on the joke.
Out of all the Retro 51's we designed over the years, this is the one people will remember. And, I'm not sure if that will be a good or bad thing.
I'll wait until April 15th to reveal the identity of this pen. After all, it's "Tax Day" in the United States, and we'll all need a good laugh, right?
