The Main Bag comprises two compartments divided by a shelf, with the option to convert it into a single large compartment by opening a slide fastener on the shelf. Closure at the top is achieved through cord and a locking hardware device. An extendable collar, crafted from water-resistant nylon material, provides an additional twelve inches of space and can be closed independently. Atop the main bag sits a lid with a pocket. The bag's exterior features PALS webbing for mounting modular pouches, along with one large sleeve on each side for accommodating long items like mortars or skis. Beneath each sleeve lies a stretchable pocket to secure these items. For ease of carrying, the bag is equipped with a top handle and two back handles for donning. Exterior webbing straps facilitate compression of smaller loads. Internally, the bag can house a radio, accommodating both the Single Channel Ground Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) radio and the Advanced Lightweight SINCGARS Improved Program (ASIP) radio within its radio pouch.
