Carte de Visites were the most popular format during the war years, and including famous military and political leaders in your CdV album was very popular......This was the best way to see them and to collect them, without the many other various methods we have today.

This is an especially great, PATRIOTIC addition to an album, the wife of one of the primary, most patriotic figures during the war.

This would look great in any original Civil War period CdV album, especially together with one of her husband George. This came with the CdeV of George, also listed on ebay. Her identification was written in pencil on the reverse.Very clear, in excellent condition. Standard CdV measurements.
