VTG TAXCO MEXICO STAMPED QUETZAL BIRD LETTER OPENER RARE For Sale

Fantastic collectible piece. IMO great used condition for a piece that’s over 50 years old. Measures just over 8” as you can see with a height of just over 3” to the tip of a head feather. Mosaic chip stone inlay on both sides is in excellent condition with nothing I see to disclose. The bird stands solidly but please review all pictures as he is very old and displays minor marks and signs of use. He has sat on my kitchen table for may years and was a family piece. There is copper color loss on both sides of his head and belly as shown. I think he’s wonderful and if he finds a new home that’s great and if not he (or she LOL) will continue to live with me. He is clearly stamped Taxco Mexico and then 3 other illegible to me letters. Possibly MEQ or MEG. Many thanks for looking.
