I am liquidating a collection of pewter for a woman who collected for years and only the best. She also was very fussy about keeping her pewter collection in good condition
Offered here is a hand casted pewter pitcher by the renown John Somers, an Englishman who made some of the finest quality pewter of his time. He made his pewter the old fashion way by casting it and most of his designs are from the past. This is QUALITY pewter that is meant to be used and last.
This pitcher is in very good condition. It is in the shiny finish. The only thing I find on it are some scuffs, and a tiny, tiny pinhead dent which was impossible to get a picture of, but I call for full disclosure. There is the beginning of oxidation inside the pitcher which has occurred over the decades. This oxidation is just what pewter does.
It measures approximately 7 3/4" tall.
