Vintage Ornament Set: 2002 RADKO “Frosty Romance” Snowman Couple*Classic 5.5”HThis is a gorgeous, companion pair of jumbo-sized Christopher Radko Christmas ornaments from the 2002 collection that I believe was titled FROSTY ROMANCE. This charming snowman and his “Mrs.” are the full, rare 5.5-inch versions (NOT the miniature Little Gems line). Mouth-blown and hand-painted in Poland, they are exquisite in their craftsmanship with vibrant colors and delicate glitter accents that beautifully capture the light.Condition Details:The Ornaments: They appear to be in immaculate, vintage condition. The paint is vibrant with minimal to no loss, no fading or scratches, and the glitter lines remain intact. The expressions, particularly on Mr. Snowman, are adorable - and I have read that having blue eyes is a rarity used only on the full-sized models in this line (as most are black).
Online references refer to the couple as The Groom and The Bride from the 2002 FROSTY ROMANCE line. The Groom features a blue and pink striped pastel scarf, lime green mittens and a tall, deep red winter hat with a lime green ribbon. The Bride wears a similar hat with a lime green accent brim that has more flourish, a pink shawl knotted at the neck and a lavender handbag on her arm.The Hardware: 100% authentic and original. Both ornaments retain their original gold-tone fluted Radko crown caps and the factory-installed circular metal loop inserts.Tags: The original paper "Made in Poland" tags are intact and preserved.* *Note: The removable forest green rigid plastic safety hooks shown in the photos were added by a previous collector for enhanced stability on the tree branch. They can be slipped off if you prefer traditional wire hooks, but they will be included.
