Commemorative plates Tsarina ALEXANDRA FEODOROVNA for earthenware wall hanging, made by SARREGUEMINES towards the end of the 19th century to celebrate the Franco-Russian Alliance and the visit of the 2 sovereigns in 1896.
Slightly shallow plate with a smooth edge. In the centre, a photographic portrait of Victor Hugo made in black and white by Nadar. Around 3 cartouches with 3 scenes representing: on the left, Victor Hugo renewed by King Louis Philippe, last king who reigned in France, with the title of "King of the French" from 1830 to 1848, above, Victor Hugo in exile in Guernsey, on the right, Victor Hugo during his 83rd birthday, below, different objects such as a mask, a lyre, a pound, a helmet.The plate dates from 1896
VICTOR HUGO's plate has a very slight crack, you can hardly see it (see photos)

Good condition.The plate is 127 years old, it is not new, it shows some minimal traces of use (see photos).
