This example dates from approximately 1918–1927. In 1927, the Minneapolis Heat Regulator Company merged with Honeywell Heating Specialties to form the Minneapolis-Honeywell Regulator Company, making this an early predecessor to modern Honeywell thermostats.
The regulator originally combined a room thermometer, adjustable thermostat and mechanical time attachment used to control a home heating system. The lower and higher temperature adjustment markings and portions of the original mechanism remain.
Measures approximately 10 inches long.
Condition: Sold strictly as-is for parts, restoration or decorative display. The glass thermometer tube is broken and has exposed edges. The original lower clock/time attachment and winding key appear to be missing. The remaining mechanism is untested, and functionality is unknown. The metal housing has scratches, tarnish, finish wear, dust and discoloration consistent with age. Please carefully review all photographs for condition and included components.
