Sacks are made from coarsely woven, homespun fabric designed to hold harvested grains. They exhibit a natural off-white or cream tone with visible weave textures and slight variations. One sack has two central green stripes flanked by two red accent stripes and the other has two central blue stripes flanked by two red accent stripes. The different colors were used to identify the particular farm each sack of grain was from. Sacks are sewn down one side and on the bottom.
Staining and tops have raw, frayed selvedge edges with several small holes.
