Authentic Prehistoric Racoon Effigy Pipe. Fine. For Sale

This is a very nice and rare pipe that is an effigy of a racoon. Made out of hard high grade steatite that is
commonly called Chlorite in the Southeast. Very dense and heavy.
Fine condition, high workmanship and polish.
I believe this is a type of statuary pipe, and I am not sure but would guess it is of the Hopewell or Ft. Ancient Culture.
6 1/4" long from nose to tail, 2 3/4" wide, 3 1/4" tall. Bowl about 1 1/8" diameter.
