PAIR 40s Appleton 16" Porcelain Industrial White Barn Light Vintage Gas Station For Sale

This was a fun-find! NOS, (New Old Stock). Hidden away in a factory storage room for a half century plus, they finally have their chance to shine. The picures don't all show it but these guys are white as snow in February. The original Appleton manufacturers labels are still proudly proclaiming the lights maker. For the peson seeking perfection and nothing less, here you go.

Note the ventilation slots on the neck. These obviously were made to allow excess heat to escape. A possibly unintended consequence of this forward thinking is the subtle glow and possible shadows on the ceiling. These aren't just lights, they're entertainment too! The shades twists off of the fitter to be brought down for cleaning if desired. Appleton engineers rule!

The original Appleton hangers come with a 6" galvanized pipe,new 3" and 12" pipes are available for the asking. The hangers have been nicely refinished as they were painted a funky color. They are not original to this set.
